That is how I came up with the idea of talking about words, their meanings, and different ways of reading them.
And as it could be no other way, the first post of this series has to do with the word START.
Such a powerful word, short, precise and encouraging it makes you want to stand up and go, jump into whatever you are planning, start it. We see it in all sorts of devices as almost an order, something that drags our attention and we can't do, but to press that button.
What we tend to ignore at that moment of power and excitement is that the start of something is the end of something else. But we prefer to stay on the positive side and say what is to come, instead of what we have left, what we are about to do instead of what we haven't been doing.
Because we like positiveness. Coca-cola just made a whole campaign about that in Spain, and their sole purpose was to include the word #positividad in the Spanish dictionary. The result, hundreds of tweets tell us positive thinking, sells, and possibly now even more than ever.
So, yes, because nothing gets us human more than positive messages, get rid of the negative words in your vocabulary, take the bright side and start something amazing.
